What is Trauma Reflexology?
In this gentle and slow session, we aim to release new and old traumas stored in the conscious and subconscious mind. We’ll stimulate points on the face and the feet that are associated with the limbic system and the amygdala. The stimulation specifically zeros in on nerve points in the brain to reconnect brain communication.
Releasing Calcium Deposits on Pressure Points Rebalances the Body
When doing reflexology in my practice, I feel for calcium deposits that attach to the nerve endings. When I find the deposits on a known reflex point, that tells me there’s some imbalance in that area of the body. In the case of my trauma sessions, this will often show me where there is stored trauma that’s causing an imbalance or blockage.
My goal is to find these and help your body release the calcium deposits. As I do this, your body sends oxygen and blood flow up through the nerve endings so that the body can release endorphins for natural recovery and natural pain relief.
What to Expect:
We’ll begin this session using a rose cream cleanser and then rose oil on the face. I’ll also incorporate “Trauma Release” essential oil blend into my reflexology work. During this gentle session, you will reach a point of deep relaxation and achieve a meditative state that helps to regulate your breathing and heartbeat. This meditative state will allow your body to release emotional toxins and traumas that are stored in both the conscious and unconscious mind. As most of this session will address the face, we suggest coming to the clinic without makeup.
Experience More Clarity and Peace of Mind
After experiencing a session, your body and brain’s hormonal levels will regulate the neurobiological process, balance neurotransmitters, and release anti-stress hormones. This will help your internal chemistry return to normal so you can experience peace within your body, mind, and soul. You’ll once again feel in control of your world, with a sharper mind and focused outlook.
Take Advantage of Multiple Sessions and Experience Greater Benefits
If you’ve recently experienced a new trauma, I suggest booking three sessions closely together. The benefits of reflexology are cumulative and will be enhanced with multiple sessions. I often suggest adding a Light and Sound Vibration Therapy session to your reflexology appointment in order to enhance the energetic benefits.
